I liked the first two albums quite a bit but she lost me after these early efforts. The material was not as inspired. She was still a powerhouse vocally (before all the problems) but I think she needed a new direction after the early years. She still did extremely well commercially but a lot of the 90's era material is lackluster IMHO.
